In surreal scenes out of Tehran, Iranian civilians climbed onto their rooftops in the middle of the night to watch Israeli strikes light up the sky. The massive bombardment shook the capital, with shockwaves reaching the spectators as the IDF targeted Mehrabad Airport.
The relentless strikes completely wiped out 16 Quds Force passenger planes used by the Revolutionary Guards to funnel weapons and cash to Hezbollah, along with several Iranian fighter jets. The operation was so unprecedented that the Commander of the Israeli Air Force, Major General Tomer Bar, left his bunker to personally fly an F-15 and drop bombs alongside his pilots.
